Pay Transparency Amendement in Washington

Washington state enacted Senate Bill 5408, amending the Equal Pay and Opportunities Act. It goes into effect on July 27, 2025. Amendments include:

  • Allowing employers to provide fixed rates in job postings when offered
  • Providing an employer with 5 business days to fix a non-compliant job posting before issuing penalties
  • Not penalizing employers for republished postings added without employer consent from third-party sites
