Employers who pay unemployment tax assessments are eligible for Delaware’s extension of temporary relief, which continues the 2023 reductions of new employer tax rates. The act also holds constant the overall tax rates from the previous calendar years and reduces the maximum rate earned.
Additionally, this extension continues the temporary simplification of the tax rate schedules used to calculate unemployment assessments that must be paid by employers.
Tax rates in 2024:
- Experienced employers: Will continue to range from 0.3% to 5.6%
- New employers: Will remain at 1.2%
The tax rates also include an additional supplemental assessment, which remains unchanged at 0.2%.
