Under new legislation, all employers with 10+ employees in Maine must include a statement with the prospective pay range in job postings. The requirement goes into effect on July 29, 2026.
If a job’s pay is based solely on commissions, the posting must disclose this information. Range of pay information includes the applicable pay scale, any previously determined wage range for the role, actual wage range, or budgeted amount. All applicable employers should maintain records of all positions held, along with posting details and pay rates.
